Solid Bond Scooter Run

By an amazing feet I managed to bring a camera with me to the run and spent most of the morning happily clicking away to find out when I got home the batteries had died and I’d only half of the pictures. We met at the petrol station on the Ravenhill road for a quick cuppa and to wait on Nick arriving as always he was late but we had a good catch up and a laugh at each others expense. The run was starting at the City Hall at 12.30 but since we arrived and started catching up with the Scooter boys and by the time I went around going Oh shinny, I like! The run started a little later than planned. A large crowd had gathered around to watch the scooters set off with us in tow, after a quick lap of the city hall we set off towards the East of the city and to the Mitchell House Special School. I was pillion this time so I was able to enjoy the run and John was able to breathe a sigh of relief that I wouldn’t be crashing my bike the day before our toy run this year again!! I must admit it was quiet a sight watching the scooters race on in front of us and I will admit to getting a little light headed with the smell of 2 stroke but it was a great run, We had such a warm welcome at Mitchell house by the staff and pupils that it made the run worthwhile. I’m not sure how such money was raised but there was a mountain of toys collected and there was a lot of smiling faces around. There was warming soup waiting for us and there was an offer of a quick tour of the school but unfortunately we had to decline and rush off home. The run was well organised as always and we were given a very warm welcome by all the scooter clubs. This is one run that I will be doing again next year and I would urge all other bikers out there to support this cause.
