North West 200 - 2009
This years NW200 sadly did not live up to the excitment and great weather of the past few years. With the rain showers causing havoc and the side winds blowing us all around it was a hard days racing. All but one race had to be red flagged and the last two races were cancelled for safety reasons, however it wasn't all doom and gloom with William Dunlop winning his first NW200 race. The sun did shine for a good part of the day however and there was some great racing to be enjoyed but hopefully next year there will be better weather conditions for the riders and spectators. We would like to send our condolences to the family of Mark Young who died following a serious incident during the 250cc Race and also to the family of the rider who died after a collison on the Dunluce Road on his way home from the racing. RIP.
